At our museum we have all kinds of interesting artifacts to see, this is a ww1 era distributor from a Liberty V12 engine. The original design produced 400hp, and it is one of the first modular engines where four or six cylinders could be used in one or two banks, allowing for inline fours, V-8s, inline sixes, or the V-12.
It also had a variant used in ww2 in British tanks.
